What Is Ageing?

Ageing! The inevitable. The word ageing when used to describe skin relates to the decline in collagen production and the breakdown of existing collagen and elastic fibres. The rate at which collagen is produced in the skin begins to decrease at around age 21, each year following this the amount of collagen that is produced decreases another 2%. When a person reaches their late 20’s too early 30’s they may start to notice fine lines developing, volume loss, skin beginning to sag and loss of elasticity. It is a known fact that you cannot stop this process, however using preventative measures including key products and treatments you can certainly slow it down.
